Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Colonial). They walked away with a 92-79 victory over the Bridge to Independence Wildcats on Wednesday. Given the Grenadiers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Wildcats are ranked 376th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jye Moreno and Jaydan Jeantinord certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Moreno went 13 of 22 on his way to 34 points and five steals, while Jeantinord went 5 for 12 en route to 14 points along with eight boards and five assists. The dominant performance gave Moreno a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Brock DAlessandro, who went 5 for 12 en route to 13 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Colonial and bumps their season record up to 11-8. As for Bridge to Independence, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.

Colonial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-29 victory against West Orange on the 23rd. Bridge to Independence has also already played their next match, an 81-14 win against Winter Haven Christian on the 23rd.
