In what's become a running theme this season, the York Institute Dragons gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They blew past Warren County 60-27 at home. The victory was nothing new for York Institute as they're now sitting on three straight.
Warren County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bri Taylor, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
York Institute pushed their record up to 13-5 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Warren County, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-21.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. York Institute will take on Smith County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Smith County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 70th, while York Institute is ranked 13th). As for Warren County, they will head out on the road to take on Lincoln County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Warren County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Monday.
