The Alamosa Mean Moose lost against the Centauri Falcons back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Alamosa took a 46-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Centauri. Alamosa has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Centauri to victory were Troy Sowards and Carson Bagwell. Sowards scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Bagwell scored 15 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sowards has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Haslett, who scored eight points.
Alamosa has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. As for Centauri, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.
Alamosa and Taos will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Lionel Salazar and Victor Zepeda. As for Centauri, they will be playing at home against Ignacio at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
