Even though the Linfield Christian Lions scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, the Summit SkyHawks still came out on top. Summit managed a 61-57 victory over Linfield Christian.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Julius Brower, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Xavier Cox was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Summit's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Linfield Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
Summit will take on Upland at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Upland presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Summit in California (Upland is ranked 151st, while Summit is ranked 666th). Linfield Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Oak Hills at 3:00 p.m. on December 2nd.
