The Grafton Clippers stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They blew past New Kent 84-21 on the road. Grafton's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Taylor Ragland, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds. Ragland is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alonni Wells, who dropped a triple-double on 18 points, ten assists, and ten steals.
The win (which was Grafton's eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for New Kent, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
Grafton is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for New Kent, they will play host again and welcome the Eagles, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jamestown is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
