The Chadwick Dolphins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 79-58 loss at the hands of Environmental Charter. While losing is never fun, Chadwick can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 728th, while Environmental Charter is ranked 357th).
Environmental Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ayshin Thomas led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 16 rebounds. Thomas is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Yari Delgado, who scored 20 points along with 9 rebounds.
Chadwick's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-3. As for Environmental Charter, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chadwick will square off against West at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Environmental Charter is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Hawthorne Math & Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on November 29th. Hawthorne Math & Science Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
