On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Emerson Jarrard, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.
Meanwhile, Sage Creek unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 7-4 to La Costa Canyon.
Lola Carson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Torii Ramirez, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Carlsbad pushed their record up to 8-13 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. Thursday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Carlsbad hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. However, it's not like Sage Creek struggles in that department as they've averaged .330. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
