Basketball Game Preview: Brindlee Mountain Lions vs. Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering Sentinels

The Brindlee Mountain Lions will take on the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering Sentinels in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Brindlee Mountain, who comes in off a win.

Brindlee Mountain will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Asbury, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Brindlee Mountain secured a 48-42 W over Asbury on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Brindlee Mountain found their leader in sophomore Zoey Persle, who went 8 of 15 on her way to 23 points and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Persle has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Persle, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards.

Meanwhile, Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Elkmont 60-7. The Sentinels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-3.

Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Brindlee Mountain, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-7.

Everything came up roses for Brindlee Mountain against Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering when the teams last played back in November of 2023, as the squad secured a 41-3 victory.
