The Jasper Vikings will head out to take on the Corner Yellow Jackets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Jasper is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Mortimer Jordan 11-2 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on DeCaleigh Calvin, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emersyn Haney, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Jasper was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mortimer Jordan only posted a batting average of .217.
Meanwhile, Corner posted their closest victory since February 22nd on Tuesday. They skirted past Hueytown 7-6.
Lilly Perkins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on ten hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Adalyn Owens was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Crimson Erwin was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Jasper's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Corner, their record is now 7-12-1.
Jasper was able to grind out a solid win over Corner in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
