The Lecanto Panthers had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 78-39 victory over Tavares at home. Lecanto has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 37 points or more this season.

Christian McAboy was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Lecanto, bringing their record for this year to 21-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.5 points per game. As for Tavares, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.
Lecanto will head out on the road to challenge Vanguard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Lecanto's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests. Tavares does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
