The Chardon Hilltoppers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a hard 81-62 fall against Riverside. Chardon has struggled against Riverside recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Riverside was led to victory by Drew Brown and Colin Durkin. Brown dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds, while Durkin went 7 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points and 4 assists. That's the first time this season that Brown pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Joey Buttari, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Chardon has fallen quite a ways from their 15-7 record last season and are now at 3-8. As for Riverside, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
