Madison Academy waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Whitesburg Christian Academy Warriors get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 21 contests by six runs or more this season.

Cataryna Schreiber was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Mya Western was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Emily Burgreen, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Madison Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .429 or higher in three consecutive games.

Madison Academy's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 28-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Whitesburg Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Madison Academy will take on Colbert Heights at 9:00 a.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 2.7, the Wildcats 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Whitesburg Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
