Baseball Recap: Mason Beats Fowlerville for Their Seventh Straight Win

Mason waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They put the hurt on the Fowlerville Gladiators with a sharp 14-2 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Mason got a massive performance out of Maddox Armour, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Armour has posted since back in April. Colton McCaleb also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Mason always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Mason's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Fowlerville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mason will face off against Holt at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fowlerville, they will square off against Charlotte at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Orioles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Gladiators' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
