Hillcrest has gone 9-1 against Shelley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The two teams, after both having extra time off, will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:30 p.m. One thing working in Hillcrest's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
Hillcrest barely beat Madison the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Bobcats last Wednesday. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by ten runs or more this season.

Mya Weatherly was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. Kenna Wallis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hillcrest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Shelley faced Rigby in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Thursday. The Russets came up short against the Trojans, falling 7-1. The Russets have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Shelley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carlie Hurd, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.
Hillcrest pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Shelley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Hillcrest has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .588. However, it's not like Shelley struggles in that department as they've averaged .494. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Hillcrest couldn't quite get it done against Shelley when the teams last played back in April of 2025 as they fell 12-7. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
