The Sierra Vista Dons posted their closest victory yet this season on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 victory over Nogales. Winning may never get old, but Sierra Vista sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
David Orozco continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with two steals. Aaron Buna was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
Sierra Vista's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-8. As for Nogales, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.
Sierra Vista will head out on the road to square off against Workman at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nogales, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Azusa at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
