Basketball Recap: Brandon Suttle's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Orange Vista over Central

Orange Vista saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell 53-45 to the Central Grizzlies. The contest marked the Coyotes' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Orange Vista's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Suttle, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Suttle is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Washington, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 14 points and three steals.

Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Na'Jae Stevenson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 boards. Gerald Perry was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Orange Vista's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Central, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Orange Vista wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-53 victory against Foothill on the 27th. As for Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-55 defeat against Glendora on the 27th.
