The Creekview Grizzlies will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Rome Wolves at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Thursday, Creekview humbled Woodstock with a 35-3 victory. Given Creekview's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while Woodstock is ranked 255th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Austin Guest continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 151 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes. Jackson Stanley also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
Meanwhile, Rome entered their tilt with River Ridge with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Rome took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 55-0 victory over River Ridge. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Rome had established a 48 point advantage.
Creekview has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Rome, their win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-1.
Creekview took a serious blow against Rome in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 30-0. Will Creekview have more luck at home instead of on the road?
