The Lake Braddock Bruins will venture away from home to square off against the West Springfield Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Braddock's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so West Springfield's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Tuesday, Lake Braddock got the win against Robinson by a conclusive 7-1. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Mac Verdejo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
