The last time they met, Lyman were the 22-0 winner over New Underwood. This time around? They had no such luck. Lyman found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 26-48 punch to the gut against New Underwood on Friday. The state rankings had actually given Lyman a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
The loss dropped Lyman back to even at 3-3. The win bumped New Underwood's record up to 4-3.
Next week Lyman take on Rapid City Christian at 6:00 PM. Rapid City Christian are limping into the contest on a six-game losing streak. As for New Underwood, they will face off against Edgemont. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, New Underwood and Edgemont will really light up the scoreboard.
