Make it 11 blowout wins for the Pettus Eagles this season. They took their contest on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 57-19 win over Runge. The victory was nothing new for Pettus as they're now sitting on three straight.
Pettus found their leader in underclassman Hayleigh Cruz, who scored 25 points along with five assists and four steals. Cruz also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Maddisyn Rodgers, who scored 12 points.
Pettus pushed their record up to 19-10 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Runge, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Pettus will be playing at home against the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Prairie Lea is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. Runge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
