Phillipsburg added to the longest winning streak in Mid-Continent this week by beating Smith Center, 43-18. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Phillipsburg was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting the Redmen. Jb Covington's team came in at 17 in the state poll after placing at number 29 last week.
The Panthers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Riley Juenemann threw for 83 yards and Grant Wickham had 50 yards receiving. On the ground Juenemann chipped in 100 yards. Michael Dusin helped Phillipsburg's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 25 yards.
Wickham was the best wideout in the league this week as Phillipsburg beat Smith Center. Dusin helped Phillipsburg's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 25 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Panthers' Juenemann and Dusin have proven to be a lethal combination. Juenemann has thrown for 485 yards this season, while Dusin, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 6 catches for 147 yards. Landon Younger from Ellis leads the league in rushing with 494 yards.
At the moment, the Railroaders are in sixth, while Norton is in fourth.
Oakley took down Syracuse 72-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
