The Valley View Eagles will face off against the Kaiser Cats at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Valley View has nine straight wins, Kaiser has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Valley View is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 16-4 margin over Chaparral on Wednesday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Destiny Mendoza was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Ramirez, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.
Valley View hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Kaiser suffered their closest loss since March 8, 2025 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Colony by a score of 3-1.
Bella Gonzalez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits.
At the plate, Kaiser saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubree Vargas, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Valley View's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Kaiser, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
Kaiser's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Valley View has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .513. It's a different story for Kaiser, though, as they've only averaged .352. Will they be able to contain Valley View's hitters?
Everything went Valley View's way against Kaiser in their previous matchup back in March of 2017, as Valley View made off with a 10-0 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Cats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
