The Gilbert Tigers put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Pinnacle by a score of 77-64. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Gilbert's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Meisha Caserio, who scored 21 points along with 6 assists. The match was Caserio's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Caia Campbell, who scored 21 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Pinnacle's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylee Fraley-Gonzales, who scored 12 points along with 9 assists and 6 rebounds. Mia Singstock was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Gilbert's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Pinnacle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gilbert is on the road again on Thursday and play against Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th. Skyline will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 137th, while Gilbert is ranked sixth). As for Pinnacle, they will head out on the road to face off against Horizon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
