It was a good run, but Harper Creek unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 61-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coldwater Cardinals. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Beavers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Cardinals are ranked 343rd).

Harper Creek's loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-2. As for Coldwater, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
