Kent Denver stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They really took it to Stargate School for the full four quarters, racking up a 84-42 win at home. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Kent Denver just coasted through the last quarter.
Kent Denver's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Zach Morgan, who scored 14 points, and Caleb Fay, who scored 17 points. Fay has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last three times he's played. Nicholas Buchenau was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Forge Christian came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 67-30 victory over The Academy at home. With Forge Christian ahead 38-17 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Kent Denver's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 85.8 points per game. As for Forge Christian, their win bumped their record up to 13-1.
Kent Denver came up short against the Fury in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 86-77. Can Kent Denver avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
