Even though Mercer Island scored an imposing 60 points on Wednesday, Lake Washington still came out on top. Lake Washington skirted past Mercer Island 62-60.
Meanwhile, Nathan Hale pushed their score all the way to 58 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 65-58 to West Seattle. Nathan Hale has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lake Washington pushed their record up to 14-10 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for Nathan Hale, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.
