They claimed a resounding 51-20 win over University Christian at home. The victory was nothing new for Nebo Crossing Academy as they're now sitting on three straight.
Morgan Baker was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with six steals and five rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Nebo Crossing Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Grubbs, who scored seven points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Despite the defeat, University Christian saw an underclassman step up: Jamison Hackney scored nine points.
Nebo Crossing Academy's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.2 points. As for University Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Nebo Crossing Academy will be playing at home against Community Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for University Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Salem Baptist Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Salem Baptist Christian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
