It was a good run, but the Yavneh Academy Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a hard 51-37 fall against Bishop Gorman. Yavneh Academy found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 18 to 3 on offense.
Despite the loss, Yavneh Academy still got an impressive performance from Darren Sacher, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Schwartz, who scored seven points along with five assists.
Bishop Gorman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anthony Todd, who scored eight points along with 15 rebounds and five blocks. Another player making a difference was Joseph Richbourg, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 15 rebounds.
Yavneh Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-6. As for Bishop Gorman, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 28-4 record this season.
Yavneh Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bishop Gorman also has no future games currently scheduled.
