4A Region 3 recap September 10, 2013
Childersburg scaled the state rankings by moving to 100 from 134 this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region 3. The Tigers climbed the ranks as a result of beating Beulah 32-0.
Handley was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from seventh to fourth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Tigers triumphed over Holtville 35-14.
Elmore County's Michael Walls and Javon Moore have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Walls has thrown for 193 yards this season, while Moore has 9 catches for 154 yards. C. J. Tolbert from Dadeville leads the league in rushing with 317 yards.
A big matchup in 4A Region 3 this week will be when Childersburg takes on Handley. As it stands, the Tigers are in second, while the Tigers are in fourth.
Childersburg took down the Bobcats 32-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
