The Swansboro Pirates entered their tilt with the East Carteret Mariners with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Everything went Swansboro's way against East Carteret on Friday as Swansboro made off with a 76-51 victory. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Swansboro has managed all season.

The game was Holt's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Jacob Nagler was another key contributor, scoring 25 points along with three steals.
Defeat or not, East Carteret got some senior leadership from Shamel Baker who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and Charles Matheka who scored 18 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Baker scored a full 49% of East Carteret's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Swansboro pushed their record up to 5-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for East Carteret, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Swansboro will take on Lejeune at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Lejeune focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Monday. As for East Carteret, they will head out on the road to face off against Croatan at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Croatan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully East Carteret likes a good challenge.
