The Borden Braves will be playing at home against the Crawford County Wolfpack at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Borden beat Austin 56-44. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Borden.
Meanwhile, Crawford County fought the good fight in their overtime contest against North Harrison on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 64-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. Crawford County has struggled against North Harrison recently, as their match on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their loss, Crawford County saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Laken Belcher, who scored 18 points along with three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Belcher hasn't dropped below three steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Blake Seibert, who scored 16 points.
Borden's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Crawford County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.
Borden came up short against Crawford County in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 60-54. Thankfully for Borden, Isaac Nickelson (who scored 23 points along with six rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
