The Northwest Christian Wolverines will head out on the road to challenge the Evergreen Lutheran Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Last Thursday, Northwest Christian had to suffer through a rough 61-23 loss at the hands of Crosspoint. While losing is never fun, Northwest Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while Crosspoint is ranked 53rd).
Meanwhile, Evergreen Lutheran unfortunately witnessed the end of their 13-game winning streak dating back to last season on Saturday. They were beaten by Crosspoint 62-19. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Evergreen Lutheran has scored all season.
Northwest Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Evergreen Lutheran, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-1.
Northwest Christian took their victory against Evergreen Lutheran when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 48-24. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northwest Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
