McCallie has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
McCallie has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 22 points or more this season. They put the hurt on King's Academy with a sharp 55-33 win on Saturday. Given McCallie's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while King's Academy is ranked 291st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kenneth Chime continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Robison, who scored 10 points along with 7 steals.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Notre Dame, who are still winless after their sixth matchup. They fell to Silverdale Academy 61-55.
McCallie's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Notre Dame, they have fallen quite a ways from their 24-10 record last season and are now at 0-6.
Everything came up roses for McCallie against Notre Dame in their previous matchup back in November as the team secured a 75-45 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for McCallie since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
