The Gulf Breeze Dolphins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pensacola Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pensacola took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Gulf Breeze, who comes in off a win.
Even though Crestview scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, Gulf Breeze still came out on top. Gulf Breeze took their match against Crestview 62-55.
Meanwhile, Pensacola struggled with threes on Tuesday (Milton had 600% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Pensacola was beaten by Milton 62-31. Pensacola was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.
Pensacola's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Noah Jones, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds, and Treashawn Washington who scored 12 points. Washington has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.
Gulf Breeze now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Pensacola, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
Gulf Breeze suffered a grim 65-42 defeat to Pensacola in their previous matchup back in January of 2016. Can Gulf Breeze avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
