After both having extra time off, the Perspectives Leadership/Technology Warriors and the Evergreen Park Mustangs will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 11:30 a.m. on December 27th. Evergreen Park took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Perspectives Leadership/Technology, who comes in off a win.
Perspectives Leadership/Technology has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 24 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped last Friday as they easily beat Kelly 50-14 at home. That 50-14 margin sets a new team best for Perspectives Leadership/Technology this season.
Meanwhile, Evergreen Park's recent rough patch got a bit rougher two weeks ago after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 54-29 walloping at the hands of Bloom. While losing is never fun, Evergreen Park can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 405th, while Bloom is ranked 122nd).
Perspectives Leadership/Technology pushed their record up to 7-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.9 points per game. As for Evergreen Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Perspectives Leadership/Technology beat Evergreen Park 47-37 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Perspectives Leadership/Technology since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
