Mason City had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They put the hurt on the Waterloo East Trojans with a sharp 13-2 victory. Considering the Mohawks have won 13 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Mason City's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-11. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Waterloo East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-17-1.
