The Clinton Arrows put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They pulled ahead with a 52-51 photo finish over Brandon. 52 seems to be a good number for Clinton as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Brandon's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Nate White, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. White scored a full 33.3% of Brandon's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Barnes, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Clinton has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 6-0 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Brandon, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clinton will challenge Raymond at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Raymond will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Brandon, they will head out on the road to face off against Biloxi at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
