The Dillon Christian Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They walked away with a 75-65 win over Lake View. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Dillon Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jackson Outlar out in front who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Outlar has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Thompson Stone, who scored 22 points along with seven assists.
When it comes to explaining why Lake View lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jayden Ford. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmarion Nichols, who scored 13 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Dillon Christian and bumps their season record up to 5-8. As for Lake View, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dillon Christian will challenge King's Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. King's Academy is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Lake View, they will head out on the road to challenge Lamar at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
