Blazer was averaging 31.17 points per game entering their contest on Friday, but they just couldn't find their rhythm against Belfry. Blazer ended up on the wrong side of a painful 41-7 walloping at Belfry's hands. The lax defense was uncharacteristic for the Tomcats, who until this game were averaging 14.75 points allowed.
The Tomcats' overall record now falls to 10-3. The victory (their third in a row) raised Belfry's record to 9-3.
Blazer's playoff loss brings an end to their season. Belfry will go up against DeSales in continuing playoff action on Friday. Bell County is also coming in after a big win (48-12 over Fleming County).
