On Thursday, Midlothian Heritage was able to grind out a solid victory over Paradise, taking the game 44-33.
Among those leading the charge was Grace Sweeney, who scored 11 points. Bri Finch was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Paradise's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Channing Beauvais, who scored 13 points, and Gazey Yates who scored 11 points. Beauvais scored a full 39.4% of Paradise's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Midlothian Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Paradise, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Douglass the next time they take the court. Midlothian Heritage will head out to face Douglass at 11:40 a.m. on Thursday, while Paradise will head out to face them at 11:40 a.m. on Friday.
