 Meanwhile, Taft scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Tuesday. Everything went their way against George West as Taft made off with  a  19-7 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Taft.
 Goliad's victory was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 6-9. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.3 runs per game. As for Taft, their win bumped their record up to 9-10-1.
 Goliad skirted past Taft  7-5 in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Goliad since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
