They were dealt a 94-63 loss at the hands of the Rams. Tallassee has struggled against Valley recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Tallassee lost, one person who can't be blamed is Rowen Thornton. Despite the final result, he scored 26 points. Thornton continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brandon Thomas led the charge by dropping a double-double on 24 points and 24 rebounds. Thomas is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last six games he's played. Cam?ron Dooley was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 14 rebounds.
Tallassee's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Valley, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-1.
Tallassee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Selma at 5:30 p.m. Averaging 75.48 points so far this season, Valley's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Selma better be ready for a challenge.
