The Roxborough Indians lost against the George Washington Eagles back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Roxborough was outmatched by George Washington on the road and fell 44-12. Roxborough was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-6.
George Washington's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Darelle Nutridge, who rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown. Nutridge's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.
George Washington's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Cesar Patterson and his two sacks.
Roxborough now has a losing record at 4-5. As for George Washington, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.
Roxborough does not have any more games scheduled as of now. George Washington will head out on the road to face off against Central at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
