The Timber Ridge Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Paw Paw, falling 62-25. Timber Ridge has not had much luck with Paw Paw recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Paw Paw was led to victory by Greyson Corbett and Donavan Tanouye. Corbett almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds, while Tanouye scored 18 points along with four steals. Tanouye hasn't dropped below 16 points for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Crabtree, who scored five points along with seven assists and two steals.
Timber Ridge's loss was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.7 points per game. As for Paw Paw, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Timber Ridge will square off against Mountain View Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Paw Paw will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against East Hardy at 6:00 p.m. on February 16th.
