Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heritage). They blew past the Arcata Tigers 84-61 on Monday. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Heritage was led to victory by Brady Lockrem and Nate Grube. Lockrem posted 29 points, while Grube had 17 points. Those 29 points gave Lockrem a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jace Bernard, who earned 11 points.

The victory (which was Heritage's third in a row) raised their record to 7-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Arcata, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Heritage will head out to take on California at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in California's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Heritage has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season. As for Arcata, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Arcata Tigers take on the Ukiah Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Arcata's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
