On Monday, the Diman RVT Bengals's game was all tied up 24-24 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 53-45 victory over Avon. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Diman RVT.
Avon lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hanelie Cadet, who scored 15 points along with two blocks. That's the first time this season that Cadet posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Mallet, who scored 18 points.
Diman RVT's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Avon, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Diman RVT on the road again on Tuesday and play against Bristol-Plymouth RVT at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th. Bristol-Plymouth RVT is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Avon, they will head out on the road to take on Atlantis at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Atlantis comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
