McCall-Donnelly have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Asotin at 7:00 PM. After both teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
McCall-Donnelly had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They made easy work of Orofino two weeks ago and carried off a 34-6 win.
Meanwhile, Asotin took care of business in their home opener. They blew past Orofino 30-6. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (27) and coasted on those for the victory.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-0. In their win, Asotin relied heavily on senior Josh Wilkinson, who passed for 233 yards and 2 touchdowns; a key strategy for McCall-Donnelly will lie in finding a way to minimize his impact.
