The King City Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight defeat. They fell 62-54 to North Salinas. If King City was looking for revenge after losing 66-56 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Shane Taylor continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for North Salinas, scoring 14 points along with four steals. Taylor has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Mendez, who scored six points.
King City dropped their record down to 3-16 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for North Salinas, their win bumped their record up to 7-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King City will square off against the Aztecs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Salinas, they will head out on the road to square off against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
