Even though the Saint Mary's Hall Barons scored an imposing 70 points on Friday, the St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds still came out on top. St. Joseph Academy snuck past Saint Mary's Hall with a 76-70 win. That's another feather in the cap for St. Joseph Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
St. Joseph Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lucas Cristiano out in front who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Cristiano hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Oscar Balli, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
St. Joseph Academy's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-14. As for Saint Mary's Hall, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-16 record this season.
St. Joseph Academy will be playing at home against St. Augustine at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully St. Joseph Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. Saint Mary's Hall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
