Basketball Recap: West Central Skates Past Tri-Township with Ease

West Central hadn't done well against Tri-Township recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The West Central Trojans really took it to the Tri-Township Tigers for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-33 victory. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

Bryce Nannenga continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, as he made all 5 shots he took for 12 points and seven rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Brady Bishop was another key player, going 5-for-12 on his way to 15 points.

West Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tri-Township only racked up eight assists.

When it comes to explaining why Tri-Township lost, don't look at Ethan Dailey. Despite the final result, he posted nine points. The dominant performance also gave Dailey a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (75%). Kyle Huhnke also deserves some recognition as he scored his first point of the season.

The win made it two in a row for West Central and bumps their season record up to 12-6. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points over those games. As for Tri-Township, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

West Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 73-56 loss against Hebron on the 15th. As for Tri-Township, they have also already played their next contest, a 68-26 defeat against Trinity Greenlawn on the 15th.
